Inspector Valerié, more Clouseau than Morse!

Ok! Julia the French lady owner of the boy donkeys and I are convinced that some chasseurs took down our donkey fence.
We have been up at the wood inspecting the evidence, not only was the electric fence laid on the ground but it could not have been pushed by the donkeys TOWARDS themselves. Then from the road into the wood the barbed wire had been cut and a wooden post it was attached to thrown to one side. This is a worry as it also stopped access to a very deep sided pond, which is full at the moment, any child or animal falling in would not be able to scramble out.
We knew when we clotured off the wood we might upset the hunters who sneak through that way down to the valley bottom. Annoyingly a bit further on is an open track down to the valley bottom which could be used.
I have decided that I will take photographic evidence and if it happens again present the dossier to Laguepie and Varen chasse chefs, who will of course say it is other chasseurs and they may be right.
Varen chasse day is Thursday, Laguepie must be Wednesday and all the other days especially Sunday private groups or friends, basically chassing every day.
I have re-clotured the area and crossed fingers the donkey chums will be safe and the chasse season will be soon over.
