Val says This book was first published in 1928 but reprinted by John Lane in 1936. I have ordered the modern paperback reprint but now wish I had bought a first edition which is available for a few pounds more. I like the change of title in 1936 and as the book appears to be about life in Najac and local festivals is more relevant.
I will give the odd relevant quote from it when it comes. Is there anybody who does not just love Najac.
When we first arrived here we were not sure what was up the road and over the hill. It could have been a nuclear power station for all we knew. It ended up being NAJAC.
