Silly is how it has been described in the press, blasted by the family as totally without credit or any truth. The script fought over by two powerful directors Olivier Dahan and producer Harvey Weinstein, for the best part of a year, stuck in an apparently unsolvable dispute.
The making of the film sounds as if it would make a better film than the script of the actual one.
Perhaps this is one we do not need to worry if we miss.

Is the Cannes Film festival which opens today just too predictable
As 67th edition of movie showcase opens, some critics claim it is too cosy, too predictable and too reliant on same old faces
Round up the usual suspects. The 67th Cannes film festival opens on Wednesday beneath azure skies, with hundreds of movies in the market, thousands of delegates on the prom and a rollcall of luminaries gracing the red carpet, from Mike Leigh to Jean-Luc Godard, David Cronenberg to the Dardenne brothers. Of the 19 directors competing for the crowning Palme d'Or award, no fewer than 13 have been nominated before. New blood runs thin at the front end of Cannes.
For festival director Thierry Frémaux, the issue of selection largely takes care of itself. "Great directors make great films," he says, "and they will always have a place in Cannes."
Yet critics claim that the world's most prestigious movie showcase increasingly runs the risk of becoming too cosy, too predictable, and too reliant on its rotating supergroup of international auteurs. So says Xan Brooks in the Guardian

Cannes Film Festival
Two of the greats of British cinema, Ken Loach and Mike Leigh, are to go head to head at this year's Cannes film festival, more than two decades since they first sparred for one of the most prestigious prizes in the film world.
The pair first competed at the premier European film festival in 1993, when Loach won the jury's prize for Raining Stones and Leigh walked away with the best director accolade for Naked.
This year, Leigh's biopic Mr Turner and Loach's Jimmy's Hall are among the 18 films selected to debut at the event, which opens on 14 May, and both will compete for the Palme d'Or. Comments to taglines82@gmail.com
