How integrated are we in reality?

What a kerfuffle, losing satellite has caused, there are those not gloating but on the edge, that have not lost satellite, others are suicidal and talking about going back to England, " I cannot live without Coronation Street " has been heard spoken. Malc says in Switzerland a supplier of sky boxes has taken everything off line and for the time being taken their phone off the hook, they have been so inundated with calls.
I wish I could say " is it that important, the BBC?" but to us who have made our lives here and are real francophiles, we still listen to BBC news ( we turn noses up at ITV news and Sky, a bit like reading the Daily Mail)  We do watch French news but always fall back to the BBC news, drama, even though it is often programmes like The Bridge, Danish  with subtitles, Inspector Montalbano, Italian with subtitles, Spiral, French with subtitles, all on  BBC 4, which we have lost at the moment.
I am sure with tweaking it will all end up a storm in a teacup or " tempète dans une tasse" and we will be back with our beloved BBC, but it does raise questions about our integration.
Now there must be loads one could object to there. I was asked by a reader  this morning if I could arrange an agree and disagree button. The answer is no,  but I am happy to publish posts either way. Imagine how disheartening a disagree button would be, that is why facebook does not do it.
A good reflector of opinion is Malc who generally disagrees with the majority I write!
Oh! and I am sure the French would not use " tempète dans une tasse"
