Books and DVD's at libraries

An  item for TAG would be a reminder that as well as the bookswap, another resource for English readers in the area is the public library network.  All the public libraries in the area have a shelf of English books - admittedly small, but in Varen we have books by Marilin Robinson, Ben Elton, Danielle Steele, Margaret Atwood, Alice Munro, Truman Capote, Graham Swift, John Grisham, Kate Atkinson, Joanna Trollope and plenty more.  I've never seen any of them borrowed.  All the libraries have access to the whole departmental stock of English books, which are listed on the on-line catalogue.  It is free to join the library, and once you've joined at your local branch, you can use all the libraries in the network.  As well as books, there are DVDs and Cds to borrow.  It would be great to see more English people using the libraries.
