Readers will recall that a few weeks ago there was condemnation of a meeting of far right sympathisers held in the church at Verfeil (82). The person who was to give the talk is a well-known "alternative" historian, with links to other far right publishers and groups.
Her works are published by a man called Alain Soral, who operates a website called "Equality and Reconciliation" and is a well-known anti-Semite. Soral has been sentenced to three months imprisonment and fined 5000 euros for his latest attempt to promote a denial of the Holocaust via a cartoon. This man has been prosecuted many times for promoting hatred, but this is the first time a prison term has been imposed. No wonder perhaps the people at Espinas and Verfeil were so opposed to one of his associates peddling her views, especially in the church.
