9 am and I have just returned to the house after wandering about in the fields. I do have very nice purple and white spotty jim jams thanks to a Christmas present but it is fortunate we are on our own up here,or the mad woman of the fields could be a nick name, but would need to be translated.[ La femme folle des champs]
OK so the problem was I could see the donkeys on the other side of a barbed wire fence and they could see me in my jim jams but why were they hesitating to come? After the trek over I saw the land dipped between the two fields and where the entrance is, happens to be the lowest point. The rain had gathered and made a small muddy pond. I talked the first donkey through, my sweetheart Lucy who sank in past her knees but bravely came on and then one by one they came and then followed me back. The morning is beautiful, as I was walking, the full moon disappeared, I could clearly see the Pyrenees in the distance and then the sun came up and it has got to be a fabulous day. If you live here and you have not a ''donkey reason'' to go out early, try it anyway just for a walk. It really sets you up for the day. Now I will swiftly breakfast, write a couple of posts and then walk the dogs.
Malc says Why don't we close off that entrance and make an entrance on a higher bit of ground, we only used that one as it was already there. He, to give him his due has the best ideas, so that is what we will do this morning.
