Those three donkeys mentioned earlier need a home, a castrated male and two girls, not old ( forgot to ask exactly their ages) all used to attelage, that is pulling a cart etc. they are "LOF" which means they are pedigree pure Anes de Provence. The present owner retired vet needs to go into hospital on the 10th of Feb as well as his wife, so it is urgent they find a home before then. The blacksmith has just been on the phone telling me of the urgency and if a good home is found they are free.

The Provence donkey is a unique breed of donkey originating from the Basse-Provence, Haute-Provence and Dauphine regions of France.
From 400,000 at the beginning of the 20th century, the number of donkeys had fallen to less than 20,000 by the 1980s. As a pet and useful for trekking, its number have risen again to about 40,000 animals. There are 9 breeds identified in France, with the breeding associations organizing many events and exhibitions in the different regions of France.
Guess who really wants them? but if I am not allowed a " polish frizzle" what chances do I have with 3 donkeys.
