It's interesting, is it not, that when there is a fatal accident involving one person hitting a tree, then either the road is dangerous - perhaps it has a corner - or the tree is dangerous. So, rather than tackle the actual cause of the accident, let's say, the driver, far better to address the effect by removing the tree, or placing a barrier on the corner.
If someone wishes to drive so wrecklessly as to hit an obstruction when there is nothing else on the road then a far better solution would be to remove the brakes from their car. That, surely, would make for safer driving. How fast would you drive if you knew your brakes would fail?
Exactly.
Let's not even bother to talk about driver attitude when behind the wheel - there are no votes to be had there.
