Frost down on the fields in the valley but not too much here at Mas del Sol surprisingly, maybe the sun had worked its magic on our fields by the time I went out. The forecast is for light rain but no one has told the sky this yet, and the sky is blue.
No wind, no breeze meant I was able to linger with the donkey group chatting. "No Rosie, don't be mean to Filou, there is enough hay for you all" said as she backs up to him and gives him a " coup de sabot" with a resounding thud. Lucy sensibly keeps munching whilst Coco standing on his own, having limped up the bank gets an extra feed all to himself.
Today working on the advice of our marechal I am going to buy from the chemist some strong sticky bandage roll. We have some crystals that will help kill the bacteria in Coco's hooves but it needs to be held in with a pancement / bandage. Julia the young owner has arranged another visit with her marechal for the weekend and after that we hope to start intensively the little donkey's treatment.
