Companion/Carer Wanted
Companion, carer for our dad, an 88-year-old English gentleman living in France. This is a full time live in position. You will have your own private sleeping accommodation in a lovelyhouse in a small French village. Due to hearing difficulties, it is essential your first language is English, and preference will be given to someone who speaks some French. Our father is still quite able to care for himself but needs a gentle, patient, caring person with some experience with the aged. Nursing experience would be highly regarded.
Your duties will include shopping, helping with medical appointments, preparation of meals and walks in the outdoors. At this stage companionship is a primary need.
You must be able to live and work in France and have or be eligible, to the French Health system. He is no longer able to drive so you will have your own car and be prepared to use it for shopping and outings. Costs and upkeep will be reimbursed.
Salary, holidays, time off and air fares can all be negotiated. It is important that we find the right person and we ask you to read this advertisement carefully, and only respond if you are sure you meet the criteria.
