On Monday flocks of sheep began their "transhumance" from Rocamadour to Luzech in the Lot. The journey from lower winter pasture to the higher ground takes most of a week, arriving in Luzech on Saturday next.
Accompanied each day by hundreds of sightseers the traditional event is the first important transhumance of the season.
