There was a report this morning on France 2 on Toulouse, not just the "ville rose" but the "ville violette" At this time of the year the banks of the Garonne are covered in violets, some cultivated. The presenter says " the first thoughts on thinking of Toulouse are violets" Sweets flavoured with violet, violet flavoured ice cream and every other product, even cheese.
