The ark no longer needed

Yesterday with the rain gauge showing 50 mm every time we emptied it, the rivers and tributaries were screaming with torrid brown water. The hills and land directing all the water down to the rivers.  The rivers then flood / inundate into the surrounding gardens and fields. If you live in a " zone rouge" yesterday you were biting fingers, as we all were who have friends along the river. Today the sky is a watery blue and the rivers which rise so quickly will be calming and quietening and going back to their beds. I noticed one reader asking on facebook "if you see my garden floating past, return to me "
We do get beautiful sunny weather but it is often followed by a violent storm or rain. Today the clearing up begins.
