The former Maire of Tours who was well respected for his work in the city of Tours, yesterday committed suicide. He was accused of taking " kick backs" for organising mock weddings with a Chinese employee who worked at the Mairie. The Chinese couples came to be married in the mairie by the Maire. He was about to be tried in the courts.
