Violent wind and rain through the night

A wild night with wind blowing down the Christmas tree and lights in the courtyard and rain lashing down. A dull start to the morning but at least it has stopped blowing and raining.
At 10 am we are expecting a delivery of 20 bales of hay, you know it is called foin, in French, ten of straw / paille and a large sack of sunflower seeds / graines de tournesol. Our supplier, Kevin Scragg from Cambou supplies lots of people round about with horses and donkeys and our donkey chums are  real fans of his bio products.
Although the way they tucked in to that pile of brambles makes me think they are not discerning eaters. The brambles though were bio!
Val says  the heading on this post at first read " Violent wind through the night"
till Malc added  " and the weather was bad as well" it made me  add the rain!
