Michael Schumacher remained in a “stable” condition overnight and this morning, his manager Sabine Kehm told journalists outside the hospital in Grenoble where he has had two brain operations after his skiing accident.
“It is good news,” Ms Kehm said, without giving further medical details. "I don't want to go into further prospects as it is too early," she aded. "He is still in an artificial coma."
On Tuesday doctors said said the 44-year-old German Formula One driver had shown signs of a “slight improvement”.
That followed a second operation on his brain as it emerged that he fell so hard that his ski helmet “broke in two”.
A scan taken on Monday night had showed “a few signs that the situation is better controlled than yesterday,” Professor Jean-Francois Payen said at a press conference at the hospital in Grenoble where Schumacher is being treated. “We can’t say that he’s out of danger but we’ve have gained time.” Doctors said they had been "surprised" to see the improvement.
