More in the woods than we know

You dont have to go as far as Rocamadour to find the Marmite de Carbon - several are rusting in the Forest of Gresigne. Indeed when Nev's lovely photos were originally posted I thought that was where he had taken them. Other gems to be found in the forest include a stretch of paved Roman road compeate with chariot groves, an encircling wall bult by Louis 14th and groves of specime trees.
