Taking place in Lille this weekend France, represented by Jo Wilfred Tsonga and Gael Monfils, and Switzerland with Roger Federer and Stan Wawrinka is the final of the tennis Davis Cup tournament.
In fact all the players actually live in Switzerland, the French representatives for tax reasons. A referendum in Switzerland is to be held to remove the tax advantages that foreign residents have with local taxes. As a local mayor points out "JWT" makes his living in the same way as Stan, but pays much less tax. It seems that the locals are much less worried about that and prefer to have the rich foreigners and may well reject the proposition.
