I am not a lady who likes to lunch, I am sorry no apologies for that.
When we first came to France we did go to all the local repas and occasionally went out in large groups with our ex pat friends, but you get to an age when you can do what you want and it is definitely not for me.
Part of the problem is the noise large groups make, and it is impossible to hear conversations, so everyone ends up shouting. Another problem is with large groups, the service and food suffers.
Sitting for hours with slow service, often poor food, too much noise with the sun shining outside is just not my cup of tea. Sorry to any who felt offended by that, if you enjoy it feel free.
Give me an intimate meal with four to six people and I am happy.
I also will not waste time reading a rubbish book, watching dumb down TV, only doing housework when absolutely necessary and bain of my life being asked to quiz events. If I have free time after all the "animal shenanigans", gardening, writing and editing TAG helping to raise money for our four charities, (that is what tops my list,) and boy do I have fun doing it all.
