A surprise visit from our hero

A rainy afternoon drove us into the house and we were joined for coffee by our Canadian renters. There was a knock on the door and Jean Marie Nosal appeared with daughter Samantha.
We had a great afternoon chatting about  Jean Marie's projects in Africa and Winnie Nosals progress with the " 120 femmes"
Everything is moving along well, the school buildings are not far off being built, they are constructions of metal sheets with rigid poles but far better than the cardboard shacks they were using.
The  news of the hospital was positive and all was well there.
The  pouponnière, the baby centre, was well staffed and babies were being fed and cared for.
When Jean Marie left, our renters like us felt they had been touched by the most saintly man, quiet, charming but selflessly dedicated to improving the lives of African children.
We did not even touch on the lives of children in France he has helped.
Now 76 years old and a true inspiration to us all. He is not religious as such but tells me his religion "is humanity" More like him and the world would be a better place.
We will see him  and Winnie next at the fund raising puppet show.
