Out last night, invited to the home of a local talented cook, we laughed as we talked to discover everyone in that company had a rescued pet from TAG.
One lady had an old cat that needed a good home, two years on Jess has fallen on her lovely old grey paws and is living a good and coddled life.
The dog described as a large black labrador who was going to be put to sleep the next day, so we launched a rescue mission. He turned out to be some huge black animal of undetermined background, but he has found a loving home with one of the rescuers.
The third who I thought we had no chance with, was a young medium sized three legged dog who had lost its leg by being chained up by it! This dog now lives an idyllic country life and is the apple of the owners eyes.
I have to say the whole group stopped me talking about other pets needing homes, including the mention of those three donkeys.
