Watching the rugby internationals you are always impressed by the calm authority of the referees, but Bernard Laporte, former coach of the France XV, former minister of sport and now trainer at top club Toulon, is apparently not so impressed. His criticism of the ref following a match with Grenoble (which Toulon lost of course) included "rubbish", "incompetent" and "dick" and has led M Laporte to be banned from all contact with his team for 12 weeks.
