We reported this story just after it happened. Rob who admits it was a stupid thing to do tried to smuggle a little 4 year old girl out of Calais having being begged by the girls father. The girl had family in Leeds that Rob had planned taking her to.
He was caught leaving France and his case comes up in the French courts this week.
In between then and now his marriage has split up, he has lost his job and he has lost 3 stones in weight..... all because he cared that one little child should suffer no more.
It was a silly thing to do and what ever one does you have to stay with in the law but I hope the French courts show some leniency but sadly I doubt it.
