No it's not a tiger. Sites and news media around the world have been reporting a tiger seen in a supermarket car park near Paris. But yesterday authorities announced that there was no evidence that it is a tiger. No local zoos or circuses have lost a tiger and there are no "feral" tigers (thankfully!), but it is a thought to be a big cat. Soldiers as well as police have been drafted in to seek and neutralise the animal. One hopes that the local chasseurs aren't joining in with their customary shoot first policy - or is that just prejudice?
