Yesterday at the Parc des expos at Toulouse the antique fair which is on all weekend had a frightening and cheeky gang of thieves with guns. The robbers went straight to the jewellery stand and stole numerous expensive pieces, before running out to a waiting car. The car was later found burnt out.
No one was hurt but imagine the horror of dealers and buyers.
Changing tack these fairs are really interesting with good quality antiques from dealers around France We have been to many of these fairs and have always enjoyed them often buying a little something as there is a range of prices. Worth a visit, but maybe not for jewellery this time.
