A mistake we made

Paul Lewis says
Am in Aix-en-Provence where, like everywhere in the civilised world, there are EU flags proudly hung outside every public building. It's been like this for as long as I can remember in mainland Europe.

Maybe if we'd been made to do that then the British might have been prouder of being Europeans.  Flags are generally divisive but the EU flag symbolises union.

Val says  I agree with Paul, we should have made it clear how proud we were to be European.
