Leaves on the line

Several local lines are under surveillance because the trains are losing contact with the rails, possibly as a result of leaves and other debris on the rails.
This is serious because the contact is needed to operate automatic level crossings and signals. One section affected is Toulouse/Tessonnieres, which is on the line which passes via Lexos to Figeac.
SNCF say that increased vigilance will be exercised on these sections and some delays may be noticed on the Toulouse/Figeac route. Unions claim that staff and public may be at risk, especially if a train fails to operate a level crossing properly.
