Country life, is it good for you?

Both Malc and I woke up this morning groaning, every muscle in our bodies telling us we had been out in the garden working all day. We look terrible but the garden is starting to look good!
We heard this morning about a friend who used to live in St. Antonin and moved just over the border in Spain. She had been out in the country and  had come into contact with the barbs of processional caterpillars and is covered in itchy weals.
Three other friends have all in the last few months had tick bites, one having odd side effects and needing penicillin, another being tested for Lyme's disease and the third having no bad effect. It is important to get the head of the tick out and remove the tick as soon as possible. Having a tick fork if you walk in the countryside is a good idea if you have a pet or not.
Malc and I suffered a few scratches from brambles/ ronces and few nettle stings/ piqûre d'ortie and aching muscles... but what a lovely day it was, lunching  and having supper on the balcony.
It might sound as if we are complaining but we are not, we know we are the lucky ones.
Our evening walk with Bonny and Kenza the neighbours dog with a red sky as the sun disappeared just before nine finished  for us, a perfect day.
