Ballet at The Royal Opera House

Natalia Osipova and Matthew Golding star in Frederick Ashton’s final full-length balletThe Wayward Daughter, one of his most joyous creations, inspired by his love for the Suffolk countryside, and containing some of his most brilliant choreography. The romantic comedy follows the story of a country beauty who falls in love with a young farmer, much to the distaste of her mother.

Former Royal Ballet principle dancer Darcey Bussell will give audiences around the world a glimpse behind the scenes as she presents the live cinema relay.

If you can't make it to the live broadcast, selected cinemas will be screening encore performances. Check with your local cinema or via our website for details.
