Laugh your way around Toulouse

The day started with  laughter and we  just carried on laughing. I had it in my head to make a photographic journey of our day in Toulouse and so made a start at the station at Vindrac. We were buying our tickets with a couple of French folk in the waiting room.  I asked if they would take our photo and even asked the station master if he could wear his hat! The first photo did not work so after a couple more where the station master took his hat on and off three times, we managed to get a picture. (Malc says: so where is it then?) The French couple helping with the mission were getting carried away with photos when the train arrived. We panicked, but the French were quite relaxed saying that the train would not go without the station master being there, so not to worry. We all got on to the train with gales of laughter and even the station master gave us a cheery wave and a big smile as we left.
I thought we were off to a good start but friends said to each other "lets leave her here with a label round her neck, and if she is still here when we get back tonight we can take her home"
I promised to behave myself but somehow it never works.
We had a coffee in the Place Capitol then a look  round an upmarket dress  shop where if we had 600 euros for a coat ( reduced to half price) we could have got into a scrum over it. Sadly we were being circumspect so off we went for lunch.
It was the first time for one of our party at the restaurants above the Victor Hugo fish, meat and vegetable market. These restaurants use all the fresh products from the market below and the fish is particularly good. One needs to get there for midday to get a seat and we timed it just right.
A really lovely  3 course meal, we mainly chose fishy dishes and with wine and coffee the cost was 19 euros each.
Favourite shop " Docks des tissues" at 22 rue Lafayette, specialiste des tissues de grands couturiers.
Wonderful materials which you could imagine being made into wonderful outfits.
Back home on the 5 pm train and guess who we met, yes,  the lovely couple who had been taking the photos, so we had a chat and discovered they lived at Bournazel, liked walking and had been walking around Toulouse.
As an after thought we were very aware of armed security and we did have bags searched going into one large store.

Thanks for a great day chums.
Malc says so where is the picture of the station master in his hat? Val says three times, and it did not work!
