Dupuytrens not carpal tunnel.

Dupuytren’s contracture is a condition that affects the hands and fingers. It causes one or more fingers to bend into the palm of the hand.
Val says  thanks to all who are telling me about their successful carpal tunnel operations, but my bent little finger is caused by  " Dupuytrens" a hereditary gene common to Anglo saxons apparently. I have yet to discover anyone who has had the operation with success although many have the nodules which cause  the fingers to start contracting. The reports on the internet are not encouraging which is why two years ago I thought I would put up with it.
Yesterday A farmer who delivered us some straw told me a local farmer who we both know had it in each hand. He had one hand  operated on and got complications and decided not to bother with the second one!   thanks that farmer ( he is so kind and cheery, he meant well)
If you know of anyone with a happy Dupuytrens story please send to TAG. If not wait 3 weeks or so for MY happy  story.
By the way the specialist said if I left it much longer the best thing would be to amputate the finger to keep it out of the way!
