The first of our Opera evenings is this coming Wednesday, yikes, so much to do.
This afternoon I have made the most tasty looking sausge rolls, giant ones. Malc has made some dainty apple scrolls that he saw being made on French TV.
Then we have started altering the salon in to " big screen position" 8 very comfy garden chairs interspersed with lounge sofas all facing towards the window and the screen and this is how we will be all winter. Eldo has never been to the opera and little does he know he will not be starting now, dogs and cats are all stashed away, ready for our paying guests. All monies raised over the winter going to Enfants d'Afrique to continue to finish the school in Mali. Jean Marie Nosal will be reporting on that in the next few days.
Eldo says " not bothered about the opera but will I get a sausage roll?" Sadly my lad you probably will not, any that get left will be quickly snaffled by Malc who is a fan.
