Tribute to Doreen

Just got back from Rehoboth and said " how are things here?." To be told Doreen Porter Fifi secretary has died peacefully.
What a week, I am sure many who know Doreen  will feel sad and also many who did not know her but enjoyed her "Face to Face" interviews on TAG. Doreen managed those interviews from her wheelchair and with phone to hand.
Our condolences to Gavin.

Doreen Porter had a career in journalism in both the private and public sectors. She edited magazines for the Police, Customs Officers, the Armed Forces and lawyers. And no, she didn’t have a thing about men in uniform — she married an accountant.
During her career, she was lucky enough to drive tanks, fly in helicopters, travel in warships and visit countries as diverse as Burma (Myanmar), the USA and the Cayman Islands. She moved to France five years ago and has since written a book An A to Z of Life in France (available as an ebook on Amazon). She is currently working on a project looking at the different hobbies we can take up in retirement and, to that end, has joined The Society for the Appreciation of the Apostrophe and bought a YoYo.
Doreen also produces the FiFi newsletter and runs the Creative Writing group
