Across the country 55% of French said they preferred rugby to football, a division even more obvious in the south-west where the figure rose to 64%. In the south-west Johnny Wilkinson is the most liked foreign player. Walking and rambling top the list of France’s favourite sports, followed by swimming.
Val says I was surprised in this report in the Connexion that fishing did not come in the list. I was also glad that hunting, (not a sport that) was not mentioned.
