France NOT to close borders

Contrary to reports is some of the UK's more - shall we say - populist press, France is not to close its borders in the face of migrant refugees. From the 13th November - 13th December border controls will be introduced at road and rail crossings as well as at airports in an effort to prevent disruption to the international climate conference to be held in Paris.
COP21 will have leaders from all over the world in an attempt to lay down goals on climate change for the next 5 years and the government is concerned that demonstrations by ecologists and anti-capitalists will cause "public disorder".
The action of the border police will still allow free movement of EU citizens, but it may take longer and some known agitators may find themselves subject to restrictions. Such border controls were last used in 2011 ahead of a G20 meeting in Nice.
Refugees arriving at the borders may be refused entry, but they will be admitted if they claim asylum - which may be a better bet than heading to Calais.
