Val says I wonder why we are so loud? After a book swap we said to the bar owner phew! it is quiet now" as people left. There had been a very large group of us.
We were told not to worry, we were loud, us from the UK and were then compared to the Flemish who were also loud.
Yesterday our family were in the Segalar playing a game called " Scruples" as we ate ( keeping the children happy) peals of laughter accompanied everyone's scruples. We were certainly loud. Unusually there we were the only Brits yesterday and the French workmen who frequent the place were, on thinking about it, very quiet !!
Walking around the St. Antonin market the predominantly loud voices are always the Brits. Have you noticed this?
A readers says
