Lassana Bathily age 24 has been in France since 2006, originally from Mali. He had asked for naturalisation last year.
All within a few days he has been held at gun point saving others in a kosher supermarket and on Tuesday the ceremony of naturalisation was performed by Bernard Cazeneuve, le ministre de l'Intérieur.
He has had his photo in every newspaper proclaimed a hero and he has certainly shown that by his quick thinking humane action.
