Think of the future: plant a tree

Waiting at home for an artisan, who arrived 90 minutes late (after a wait of 2 months) Malc was present at an impromptu ceremony in the garden of our young neighbours. Several families have young children and are often godparents to each others kids and yesterday one toddler, Maya, was 12 months old and her godparents decided to plant a tree for her. They chose a peach tree, which is a delicious idea. Traditionally, they told me, for girl a walnut was planted and became the wood for her dowry, to make furniture. For a boy a poplar would supply the beams for the roof of a new home.
It was touching to see a group of young parents and friends keeping alive a tradition.
