God knows why he would say it with a Lancashire accent but Malc has just been talking to a local villager Albert.
Albert was filling up his bottles at the old water source in Varen so Malc stopped to ask him if he was sure the water was OK.
Albert says he and other French villagers have never stopped using the source although it is no longer tested. "Tastes much better than tap water and nobody has ever been ill" he says. Malc then asked if he boiled it before use and received a nonplussed "No."
