I saw on French TV that in many places early wild flowers were beginning to flower. On our walk with the dogs this afternoon, we ended up stripping as we went, discarding, hats and gloves before starting off and then carrying our coats along the way, we did however stop there.
In a field we like to walk through known to us as " the fox field" and to some other friends who walk there "the rabbit field", pushing through the turf were the leaves of orchids. The earliest wild orchid we have ever found was an early purple on the 1st of March, who knows when it will be this year with this mild winter.
