General bits of news

Yesterday the book swap went well, lots of people, less books than usual. Why was that?
It was because I sent off all the last books that were left after the swap to be sold by Steve Carpetman in his shop in Montauban. He  has got involved with raising money for the charity " Liberte des Anes"and they will be sold to buy hay for those needy donkeys.
Normally at the end of the swap Malc and I gather up the books bring them home, sort them, some come back but some are sent to Emmaus.
As I was leaving the swap a reader arrived late with two sacks of books which I took for next month. Looking quickly through there are certainly some titles I will be happy to read, so eyes open for February.
Chris Robinson tells me he got a good order for goods to be ordered from the British Cornershop, well done Chris.
TAG yesterday had 775 readers looking, and the day before was 687.
