Gendarmes visit Mas del Sol, surely not with a " full monty calendar"

I walked 3 dogs along the lanes this morning, our two and the neighbours dog Kenza, who likes to tag along. None are on leads, there is never anything to pass other than the odd tractor, and when I say odd that usually describes the ancient specimen of our neighbours. Actually describes him and his tractor.
Another sunny, blue skied morning, the sort we all love, and there am I looking totally disreputable in my wellies and brown donkey coat covered in hay. I am sometimes surprised that the donkeys do not eat me when they are hungry, the amount of hay that sticks to that coat. Bonny as is normal is covered in mud, she is the devil incarnate to the local mole population.
Anyway you have the picture of the disreputable group wandering up the road.
Twice we were passed by a "coasting car with gendarmes" fortunately the dogs did not give chase and cheery waves were exchanged. The mystery of the gendarmes deepened at this point as a rather smart car was parked with lights on at the side of the road, with a rather smart male driver. As we approached he slowly moved off and drove down to stop again at the donkey field.
As we came back after our walk the car was still parked there. Once again as we approached he set off slowly again and drove past our enclave.
I am doing a Sherlock Holmes type set of thoughts here.
Both incidents must be related.
My theory the man had reported something to the gendarmes, I dismiss the theory of a walker shot in the woods by a chasseur.
Sometimes there is a squatter in the woods up the road that the gendarmes come to evict.
"Elementary my dear Watson" I presume the man had reported the squatter on his land.
Voila!
Val says I think you can see how quiet it is at Mas del Sol, and Malc agrees it is probably the squatter.
