An annoying story that has cost us money.

In autumn we got a social charge bill well in excess of what we were expecting. The previous year our  returns were accepted, even though lots of other peoples were higher than should have been.
We immediately notified the tax office to tell them of their error and supplied the information they asked for and asked them to stand over the large amount that was not due. The tax office have now agreed our claim but in the meantime our bank  transfered money from our deposit account to our current account to pay the initial sum.
We now have to pay the bank two transfer charges, one to the deposit account and another for paying the tax office.
Malc has asked over the past two weeks to have the money the money refunded,  so far to no avail, even though they agree it is too much.
Seems so unfair that we cannot claim back interest from the department to off set bank charges.
Val says again  One would expect sympathize being ticked but there is bound to be some joker who will tick enjoyed : and Val adds with a smile and maybe more than one,
