well its been a long time since we invited you to eat with us at Lavolvene. September and October passed quickly with beautiful weather which the donkeys thoroughly enjoyed.
Our news here is that we had to put to sleep merlin who was 30 years old and suffered some liver problems which we just couldnt overcome. he was the last surviving donkey who came from the uk and i had owned him for 29 of his 30 years so he left behind a huge gap. When the days seem sad it cant last long as we recently took in an old breeding mare from a meat market together with her tiny brand new foal, who is full of fun.

Christina has had the flu but with our keen cooks we promise you a really tasty lunch and a visit to see our new baby. You can enter our competition to guess the middle name of this baby donkey, if it helps the mother is called Clarissa and the baby's first name is Clarabelle, what we need is her middle name and only i know that so i will be writing this on a piece of paper and popping it into a jar, and whoever chooses the correct name will win lots of euros, ill explain more on the day.
Friday 28 november is only the end of next week so to help with our shopping and cooking please reply asap and let me know if there are any vegetarians in your group and which desert you would like to choose.
