Looking at houses for sale in the area, it has got to be a good time to buy.
As we have been here awhile now you see property that you know changing hands sometimes for the second time.
Top tips for sale in my mind are four houses we know so well in and around Varen, our old Presbytere which I have mentioned recently which was a house we loved, lacks land but not everyone wants land. On the market at 307,000 euros.
Another house which has seen a couple of owner changes in our time and we still call " Jill's"
is at Le Riols with Agence L'Union. The price for this lovely spacious house in the centre of the village is now a snip at 239,000 euros.
In Varen a grand large house which in the past was a chambe d' hote "Chez Phillipe," with a spacious well planned garden at the front, albeit with a quiet village road separating the two is now on the market with Agence L' Union and the price is down to 399,000 euros.It has a superb well planned kitchen with many interesting features, ideal for guests enjoying their morning breakfast.
Just outside Varen at Druihet, a wonderful restored moulin with two houses in an enchanted setting, the price has come down 80,000 euros to 499,000 For sale with AG3 immobiler and Agence L' Union
Buying a house, I think it is always worth making an offer, who knows how much the sellers are ready to move on. Selling a house, be practical the market is at an all time low, consider an offer carefully, you might not get another for quite some time.
I am no expert but I know bargains when I see them.
