That word " daesh" they don't like it up 'em

Hi Val and Malcom

repeatedly the word "daesh" was used by TAG-line and by M.Hollande. In
our daily newspaper they explained its origin and meaning.
Probably you may be interested what stands behind. I quote:
The word Deash is composed of the first letters of the arabic phrase "
Al-Daula al-islamija fil-Irak wal-Scham" , which means in our wording
"The islamic state in the Iraq and in the Levant ".
For the same meaning one can also find the writing " Daish" as the
arabic would not discriminate between "e" and " i ".
By the way, the IS do not like this acronym.
Best regards from Munich, where tomorrow winter will arrive - perhaps -
Walter
