Dear supporter of my rain poncho project for the refugees in Leros,
As I said in my last mail, there was 756 euros left over from buying theponchos that I would decide on the best way to spend whilst volunteering on
Leros island, hoping to be able to support the local economy by buying there
if things needed where available.
I discovered that there was an urgent and constant need for backpacks and
for kits of small children’s fleece trousers and jackets with hoods (needed
in the emergencies when they arrive soaking at night) These were available
at a very good price so I spent all the remaining money which bought 43
backpacks and 24 kits of clothes for small children.
