You win some

and you lose some. French football had a mixed day yesterday: les Bleues won 1-0 against Sweden (sans Zlatan) and three league clubs were plunged into legal investigations.
Four Marseille officials, including club president Vincent Labrune and his predecessors, were arrested amid claims that they used underworld connections and illegal "commissions" to prise Toulouse star striker Gignac away from TFC. Marseille are currently Ligue 1 leaders with 10 goals from Gignac.
Elsewhere two Ligue 2 clubs, Caen and Nimes, are accused of fixing a match last season. Each club needed a point, Caen to gain promotion to Ligue 1 and Nimes to avoid relegation. With the half time score 1-1 it seemed clear to spectators that no further effort was made to score and the draw satisfied all except their rivals. The clubs could face relegation if the allegations are proved.
