a marginal is someone living on the edges of society, possibly living on the streets.

Poignardé is stabbed and

sur le trottoir is on the pavement ( trottoir always makes me think of pigs trotters)

All words I have learnt by reading the newspapers every morning. As well as doing posts for TAG I am learning new French words and stimulating my brain at the same time.

The story was a person on the edges of society stabbed another in the throat, all for 3 euros. This happened near the Casino in Cahors ( Does Cahors have a Casino or is it a supermarket?)
